Director of Data Migration

The role entails leading data migration and automation initiatives as part of software implementation projects.

Leveraging expertise in Intellectual Property, you will oversee a team guiding them in analyzing, mapping, and transforming data to ensure accuracy and integrity throughout the process.

You will be responsible for spearheading the development of automation systems, streamlining data migration tasks, and enhancing overall efficiency.

  • Team Leadership:
    • Lead a team of Data Migration specialists ensuring they have necessary skills, resources, and support to execute projects effectively.
    • Provide guidance, coaching, and mentorship to team members fostering a collaborative work environment.
  • Data Mapping and Transformation:
    • Develop comprehensive data mapping and transformation plans to align data from other Intellectual Property solutions with the company's software solution.
    • Ensure IP-related data elements are accurately mapped and transformed maintaining data integrity and consistency during migration.
  • Automation System Development:
    • Design, architect, and build an automation system for mapping, transforming, and migrating data from legacy systems to the software solution.
    • Develop processes, workflows, and scripts to automate repetitive tasks and streamline the migration process.
  • Competitor Analysis:
    • Lead the analysis of data structures, formats, and schemas from other Intellectual Property solutions in the market.
    • Understand unique data models and features to devise effective migration strategies.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Establish specialized quality assurance processes and test cases tailored to IP data migration including validation of patent, trademark, and copyright information.
    • Conduct rigorous testing and validation of the automation system to ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data migration activities.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading data migration projects (10+ years).

They should have a deep understanding of data migration methodologies, tools, and best practices.

A minimum of 10 years of leadership experience is required.

Familiarity with automation tools, database management systems, and data integration platforms is essential.

Experience in the Intellectual Property domain or related industries is highly desirable.
