Senior Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

About the Role:

This is a key position that requires expertise in managing cloud infrastructure, specifically on Microsoft Azure. The ideal candidate will be experienced in installing, configuring, and maintaining GitLab on servers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Infrastructure Management: Assess the current infrastructure and determine requirements for implementing GitLab.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with internal and external teams to understand Enterprise Architecture and Security standards.
  • Setup and Configuration: Install, configure, and manage GitLab on servers, leveraging tools like Configuration Management and Infrastructure as Code.
  • Integration and Automation: Integrate GitLab with existing tools and services, implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Azure DevOps, and automate mundane tasks using scripts and routines.
  • Security and Compliance: Configure security settings and access controls for GitLab, enable advanced security features, create security and compliance policies, and perform security hardening of the GitLab instance.
  • Backup and Disaster Recovery: Configure backups and create disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
  • Monitoring and Support: Set up monitoring and alerting for the GitLab platform, provide training and support to team members, and contribute to deployment operations.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have experience with GitLab administration, scripting languages such as Python or PowerShell, and strong understanding of cloud computing platforms like Microsoft Azure.

Able to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams, excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for this role.
