Internal Audit Manager

The ideal candidate will lead the development of a comprehensive risk-based internal audit plan aligned with business objectives.

Key Result Areas:

  • Develop and implement a risk-based annual internal audit plan, integrating business priorities and risk assessment.
  • Source and finalize vendors for program execution activities.
  • Execute the internal audit plan, ensuring timely completion and reporting to stakeholders.
  • Conduct functional audits in accordance with the approved annual plan.
  • Track and report internal audit observations status to stakeholders on a monthly basis.
  • Lead follow-up audits to assess management remediation efficacy and effectiveness.
  • Establish and maintain internal audit standard operating procedures, including templates and documentation requirements.
  • Develop a repository of audit programs, checklists, templates, and tools for standardization and consistency.
  • Plan and develop audit support tools to enhance quality and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with Risk Management to identify and assess entity and functional level risks.
  • Provide input to risk identification and assessment programs for emerging risks.
  • Leverage risk assessment output to develop an informed internal audit plan.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of risk mitigation steps and initiatives.

Educational Qualifications & Experience

Required Education: Chartered Accountant

Desired Education: CIA, CISA, CWA

Experience: 10-15 years of experience in implementing risk management at strategic and operational levels.

Proven experience undertaking audits across diverse areas of the organization.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interfacing with all levels of management.

Knowledge and Specific Skills

Familiarity with corporate governance, internal audit, and risk management domains.
