Role Overview

We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to lead our financial operations in India. The Head of Finance will be responsible for managing the Finance function for our Indian subsidiary, as well as acting as an analyst for our UK and International Commercial teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit and Compliance: Planning and execution of audit of Internal Financial control over financial reporting, preparing internal audit report, and coordinating with local advisors for statutory audit, revenue audit, TDS return, and Income Tax Return.
  • Financial Management: Responsible for all accounting related issues, monitoring financial details to ensure legal requirements are met, and ensuring accurate financial reporting and budgeting.
  • Cash Flow and Expenditure: Controlling income, cash flow, and expenditure, collecting, interpreting, and reviewing financial information, producing financial reports related to budgets, account payables, account receivables, expenses, etc.
  • Risk Management: Developing strategies to minimize financial risk, and preparing and managing the process of procurement, stock/inventory, maintaining records of debtors and creditors.
  • Payroll Management: Responsible for payroll management.
  • MIS Reporting: Preparing and analyzing monthly MIS reports.
  • Compliance: Providing ROC compliances, annual filing, incorporation of company, etc.

Additionally, this role involves performing commercial analysis, financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking for both the Indian business and the wider UK/International business. This includes daily sales reporting, analysing financial data, creating/maintaining financial models, reporting on financial performance, and preparing regular leadership reviews.

Person Specification:

  • Qualified accountant with 5+ years pharmaceutical experience preferable.
  • Strong English language skills, international company experience, and management experience including liaison with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Highly analytical, proven track record of delivering results, self-disciplined, results-focused with a can-do attitude.
  • Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills, flexible approach to work to meet strict deadlines, strong Excel skills, and experience using analytical tools like Power BI and CRM systems.
