Job Title: Operational Leader

Position Overview

The operational leader will be responsible for the effective execution of surveillance operations, focusing on strategic leadership and oversight to ensure efficient detection, investigation, and prevention of market abuse or misconduct.

This role requires a strong understanding of exchange ecosystems and operations, as well as knowledge of equity and derivatives markets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the investigation of alerts, suspicious trades, and breaches; ensuring timely escalation to compliance, legal, or regulatory bodies.
  • Develop, test, and implement advanced surveillance systems; create frameworks and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to support the organization's objectives.
  • Mentor, develop, and lead the surveillance team; ensure continuous skill enhancement in regulatory and analytical domains.
  • Establish best practices and introduce process improvements and automation to enhance operational efficiency.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Finance or Chartered Accountancy/Chartered Secretaryship (CA/CS)
  • Minimum 5-10+ years of relevant experience in surveillance operations
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Tableau, Power BI, and Python programming languages
