The Role of Staff IT Audit Consultant

We are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Staff IT Audit Consultant to join our team. As a key member of our IT audit team, you will be responsible for assisting in the planning, execution, and reporting of assurance engagements, as well as providing guidance on audit methodology, work paper guidelines, quality review standards, and communication protocols.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be able to collaborate with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines, risk assessments, budgets, and other planning documents.

This role requires strong project management skills, with the ability to maintain a culture of teamwork, meet project timelines, and deliver high-quality workpapers and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Planning Activities

Participate in planning activities to identify client needs and service opportunities in areas of assurance, advisory, risk, and compliance services.

2. Growth and Service Delivery

Own growth and service delivery (planning, execution, and reporting) of engagements and work closely with supervisors and clients to coordinate efforts on engagements to include System and Organization Controls (SOC) Examinations, PCI DSS Assessments, HITRUST Assessments, IT Audits in support of financial audits, internal audit engagements, pre and post implementation assessments, and issuance of reports issued under AICPA Consulting and Attestation Standards.

3. Client Execution

Work with clients to execute the engagement, leveraging industry and functional insights from our advisory business to bring greater value to clients.

4. Design and Execution of Audit Procedures

Design and execute high-quality, integrated, and efficient audit procedures.

5. Building Audit Methodology

Assist in and contribute towards building audit methodology, working paper guidelines, quality review standards, and communication protocols.

6. Creating Audit Strategy

Create and implement audit strategy relating to evaluation of significant applications relevant to financial audits.

7. Preparing and Communicating Issues

Prepare and communicate issues, risk, and recommendations to client leadership, including ongoing insights on potential corrective action plans.

8. Identifying Potential Clients

Identify potential clients and generate leads for AARC-360.

9. Quality Standards

Adhere to all quality standards and processes, including firm's independence requirements, for acquisition of clients, opportunities, and submission of proposal and contract documents.

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have:

1. Bachelor's Degree

A bachelor's degree and minimum two (2) years of related work experience or a graduate degree and approximately one to two (1-2) years of related work experience.

2. Relevant Discipline

A degree in business, accounting, finance, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline.

3. Professional Certification

We prefer a Chartered Accountant who is a member of the ICAI.

4. Experience Requirements

Minimum of one (1) year of experience working as an auditor or risk advisor for a CA firm, a professional services firm, or financial services company, or comparable experience as an advisor to a financial services company.
