Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise tax advisory engagements to exceed client expectations, delivering high-quality results that drive success.
  • Manage delivery of tax opinions, short notes, and email responses on day-to-day clients' tax matters, ensuring seamless communication and prompt resolution.
  • Oversee tax compliance, including filing of tax returns, withholding tax statements, advance tax, and provisioning for income tax and other tax filings.
  • Supervise tax assessment, litigation proceedings before the assessing officer, other income tax authorities, and higher appellate forums.
  • Develop and train managers and executives for their professional growth, creating a stronger bench for the organisation.
  • Deliver clients with tax technology assets through licensing and/or internal managed services, driving innovation and efficiency.
  • Serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for end-to-end tax operate engagements, ensuring smooth execution and effective communication.
  • Manage internal client codes from the standpoint of time logging, invoicing, and collections, maintaining accuracy and transparency.
  • Contribute to business development, identifying new opportunities actively and mining existing ones, driving revenue growth and expansion.
  • Participate in firm eminence programs, events, written or speaking contributions at conferences, and thought leadership initiatives, enhancing the organisation's reputation and expertise.
  • Collaborate with other tax services lines and business functions for multi-disciplinary client requirements, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence.
  • Focus on and align with the firm's core tax growth themes, driving strategic alignment and outcomes.

Desired Qualifications

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) with 8-10 years' experience in direct taxation.
  • Preferably from a Big 4 background.
  • Strong technical knowledge and analytical skills.
  • Conceptual clarity, innovative thinking, and an eye for market trends.
  • Effective communication and presentation skills.
  • Time and cost management skills.
  • Experience in managing and leading a team.
  • Mentorship skills for professionals.
