Job Opportunity: Critical Care Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the ICU, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to a collaborative and dynamic environment.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A medical degree (MBBS) with postgraduate qualification in Internal Medicine, Anaesthesiology, or Pulmonology;
  • At least 1-2 years of clinical experience in an ICU or Critical Care setting;
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS);
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide continuous and high-quality medical care to critically ill patients in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
  • Perform initial assessment, develop treatment plans, and manage acute conditions under the supervision of consultants.
  • Monitor patients on ventilators, life support, and other critical interventions.
  • Manage emergencies like sepsis, cardiac arrest, respiratory failure, trauma, and shock according to critical care protocols.
  • Perform critical care procedures such as intubation, central line insertion, arterial line placement, and bedside ultrasound (if trained).
  • Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team including consultants, nurses, and technicians for effective patient management.
  • Maintain comprehensive medical records, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Participate in ICU rounds, clinical audits, and academic sessions such as journal clubs and Continuing Medical Education (CMEs).
  • Ensure compliance with infection control, patient safety, and ICU protocols.
