Job Title: Clinical Care Specialist

Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Care Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our neonatal care team, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to neonates, including diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring in the NICU and nursery.

You will manage preterm, low birth weight, and critically ill newborns requiring ventilatory and intensive care support. Additionally, you will participate in resuscitation and stabilization of newborns in delivery rooms and emergency settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive care to neonates, including diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring
  • Manage preterm, low birth weight, and critically ill newborns requiring ventilatory and intensive care support
  • Participate in resuscitation and stabilization of newborns in delivery rooms and emergency settings

Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • MD/DNB Pediatrics with Fellowship in Neonatology or DM Neonatology
  • 0 to 2 years of post-qualification experience in a tertiary-level NICU
  • Strong clinical acumen and patient-centered approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Team Collaboration:

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary care team, coordinating with pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare staff to ensure integrated neonatal care.

Procedures & Monitoring:

You will perform neonatal procedures such as intubation, surfactant administration, umbilical line insertion, etc. You will also monitor and adjust treatment plans based on patient condition and clinical guidelines.

Documentation & Compliance:

You will maintain detailed and accurate medical records, progress notes, and discharge summaries. You will also adhere to hospital protocols and neonatal care standards.

Communication & Counseling:

You will communicate effectively with parents and families regarding diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis. You will also provide emotional support and counseling during critical care situations.

Education & Learning:

You will participate in departmental academic activities, CMEs, and case discussions. You will stay updated with the latest research and guidelines in neonatology.
