Azure Data Support Lead

About the Role:

Clients seek a seasoned Azure Data Support Lead to spearhead support operations, ensuring seamless execution of tasks and processes.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of engineers, overseeing support activities, and guaranteeing efficient handling of incidents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Team Leadership: Knowledge of ITIL processes and incident management frameworks is essential. The lead will mentor and manage a team of Level 1 and Level 2 engineers, fostering a culture of excellence in support activities.
  • Technical Oversight: The support lead will oversee technical operations for applications and pipelines built on Azure Databricks, PySpark, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Function Apps.
  • Incident Management and Escalation: As the escalation point for critical incidents, the lead will ensure root cause analysis (RCA) is conducted for recurring incidents and preventive measures are implemented.
  • Process Optimization and Automation: Identifying areas for improvement, the lead will implement enhancements in support processes to boost efficiency and reliability. Leveraging automation tools will reduce manual intervention and streamline operations.
  • Collaboration and Stakeholder Management: Close collaboration with cross-functional teams, including development and operations, will ensure alignment and timely issue resolution.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Comprehensive documentation for support processes, incident resolutions, and system configurations will be developed and maintained by the lead. Training sessions and knowledge-sharing workshops for the support team will be conducted regularly.

Requirements:
