Data Governance Specialist Job

About this Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Specialist to lead and manage our enterprise-level data governance initiatives using Collibra. This role requires deep expertise in Collibra's platform, including configuration, integration, workflow development, and stakeholder engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and administer the Collibra Data Intelligence Platform end-to-end.
  • Design and configure the Collibra Operating Model, including domains, assets, workflows, and roles.
  • Develop custom workflows using BPMN and Collibra Workflow Designer.
  • Integrate Collibra with enterprise systems using APIs and connectors.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and business users to define and enforce data governance policies.
  • Implement and monitor data quality rules, lineage, and metadata management.
  • Provide training and support to business and technical users on Collibra usage and best practices.
  • Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with internal and external data governance standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, metadata management, or data quality.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Collibra, including configuration, workflow development, and integration.
  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data stewardship, and data lifecycle management.
  • Proficiency in Collibra APIs, BPMN, and scripting languages.
  • Experience with data cataloging, lineage, and business glossary in Collibra.
  • Familiarity with data platforms like Snowflake, Azure, AWS, Informatica, or similar.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Collibra Ranger or Solution Architect certification is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in enterprise-level deployments of Collibra.
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance.
  • Background in data architecture or data engineering is a plus.
