Water Purification Systems Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Water Purification Systems Engineer to spearhead the technical delivery of our BioGreen systems across India and beyond. This role is pivotal in driving our growth strategy, offering full lifecycle responsibility from conceptual engineering and system design through procurement and assembly partner coordination to overseeing installation and long-term operations & maintenance.

In this position, you will work closely with our Swiss HQ to engineer innovative, efficient, and scalable water purification solutions, particularly for the Indian market. Your key responsibilities will include leading the engineering and design of water purification systems, ensuring compliance with local conditions, regulatory requirements, and performance targets; overseeing procurement, supplier engagement, and assembly partner coordination to ensure high-quality execution and cost control; supervising installation, commissioning, and technical handover of systems to operations teams or clients; taking ownership of operations and maintenance strategies, developing SOPs and troubleshooting guidelines; collaborating across disciplines to integrate field learnings and continuously improve system performance; and staying current on regulatory frameworks, certification standards, and relevant technological advancements.

The ideal candidate will have minimum 7 years of hands-on experience in engineering, designing, and delivering water or process systems at scale. A strong background in process engineering, hydraulics, filtration, pumps, and automation is essential, as well as demonstrated ability to plan, model, and optimize complex water treatment processes. Experience in managing technical suppliers, fabrication partners, and field installation teams is also necessary. Highly detail-oriented individuals with excellent project planning, documentation, and execution skills are encouraged to apply. Fluency in English (professional level); Hindi or other Indian languages are a plus. A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Water Process Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related field is required.
