Fiber Optics Engineer

The position of Fiber Optics Engineer is available in our organization.
Key Responsibilities:- Installation and Maintenance: Assist in the installation, splicing, termination, and testing of fiber optic cables.
- Quality Assurance: Perform OTDR, power meter, and light source testing to ensure network quality and accuracy.
- Network Support: Provide support for network maintenance, fault identification, and restoration of fiber breaks.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of fiber routes, splicing details, and test reports.
- Team Coordination: Coordinate with field teams, contractors, and customers during project execution.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to safety standards and project timelines.
- On-Site Support: Provide on-site support for FTTH, backbone, and enterprise fiber projects.
- Degree and Experience: Diploma / B.Tech in Electronics, Electrical, Telecommunication, or related field; 1–2 years of hands-on experience in fiber optic installation and maintenance.
- Tech Knowledge: Basic knowledge of fiber technologies (single mode, multi-mode).
- Familiarity with Tools: Familiarity with fiber splicing machines, OTDR, and related tools.
- Travel and Teamwork: Ability to work in field environments and travel to project sites.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Communication: Good communication and teamwork abilities.
- Network Understanding: Understanding of FTTH, DWDM, MPLS, and backbone fiber networks.
- Project Exposure: Exposure to ISP / Telecom / Infrastructure projects.
- Safety Standards: Knowledge of safety standards and industry best practices.
