We are seeking an accomplished leader in precision electromechanical systems integration. The ideal candidate will have experience designing and developing high-performance instruments, automation systems, or similar.

Bharat Atomic is creating India's first commercial Scanning Electron Microscope, a cutting-edge platform that not only visualizes the nanoscale but also measures it with exceptional rigor.

As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, your mission will be to spearhead the mechanical architecture - compact vacuum chamber, precise motion stage, serviceable enclosure, and safety interlocks - that enables fast instrument operation from sample-load to image. Our goal is to develop an instrument that is both quiet and reliable on the bench and in the field.

You will design for speed, stability, and serviceability, creating the assembly and test playbook, and driving it from prototype to pilot builds. You will qualify and scale India-based and global suppliers, fostering close partnerships to improve yield and finish quality.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing precision electromechanical systems for scientific instruments, automation, or similar.
  • Developing precision motion stages, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and design for manufacturability.
  • Leading system-level integration, balancing optics, electronics, thermal, acoustic, and safety needs.

We seek someone with a proven track record of delivering precision electromechanical systems, comfortable with vacuum practice, precision motion, and hands-on problem-solving skills.
