Job Title: Mechanical Design Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Design Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the design team, you will be responsible for designing and developing mechanical engineering components, automation systems, and SPMs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical engineering components, including precision components and fabricated structures.
  • Work on automation systems, including electromechanical and mechatronics concepts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to qualify new designs and achieve customer specifications.
  • Offer technical support and validation of engineering components and concepts through engineering calculations.
  • Selection of commercial items like bearings, motors, gearboxes, servomotors, sensors, conveyors, etc.
  • Awareness about best machining processes, heat treatment processes, engineering materials, surface treatments, EDM, EBM, and mechatronics.
  • Knowledge about material handling equipment and ability to understand and apply limits fits and tolerances, GD&T, surface finish.
  • Good knowledge of DFx (DFM, DFS, DFA) concepts.
  • Knowledge of robotics, robot selection, and application is an added advantage.
  • Well-convergent with CAD 2D/3D platforms, particularly AutoCAD and SolidWorks (mandatory).

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Station DRI-Full machine conceptual design, manufacturing design, DFM, SOP, RF design.
  • 3D part modeling, 3D finishing, and assembly details, COTS items spec freeze, and localization.
  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with 4-10 years of relevant experience.
