Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Design Engineer to join our team. As a skilled professional, you will be responsible for designing and implementing mechanical systems, equipment selections, specifications, and other related processes for commercial, industrial, and domestic projects.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement mechanical systems, including equipment selection and specification, to ensure compliance with standards, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Prepare detailed technical construction drawings, calculations, and specifications using computer-assisted engineering or design software.
  • Perform detailed calculations and prepare technical specifications, sequence of operations, and details for projects according to customer requirements and existing conditions.
  • Stay up-to-date with relevant codes, including NYC Building Code, International Codes, Mechanical Code, Energy Code, NFPA Standards, and ASHRAE Standards.
  • Review design concepts, calculations, and drawings to ensure accuracy, code compliance, and customer satisfaction.
  • Review engineering submittals, shop drawings, and construction administration procedures to provide timely feedback during the project's construction phase.
  • Develop training modules, calculation procedures, and company tools used in design and execution. Train junior engineers to adhere to standards and improve performance.
  • Coordinate with clients, project managers, and vendors to ensure timely project delivery according to schedule and requirements.
  • Develop cost estimations and bills of materials based on design concepts.
Requirements:
  • 4+ years of experience in HVAC design and engineering.
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Experience working with building services and international projects, preferably in the US.
  • Strong team handling and communication skills.
