Engineering Director Role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Director to lead the delivery of engineering services and solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record in engineering project management, operations delivery, and process improvement.

About the Job:

  • Lead and manage the delivery of engineering projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Manage and mentor a team of engineers, ensuring effective resource allocation, task management, and career development.
  • Act as the main point of contact between clients, internal teams, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment on project goals, expectations, timelines, and preparation of reports.
  • Identify and manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation plans to ensure successful delivery.
  • Ensure all engineering processes and deliverables meet the required quality standards and comply with relevant industry regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor and control project budgets, ensuring the efficient use of resources and adherence to financial targets.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve engineering processes, striving for enhanced efficiency, reduced costs, and improved quality.
  • Appraise and groom team members to improve their performance and develop their competencies.

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience in leadership roles in plant engineering services organizations.
  • People-oriented and results-driven.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP (PMI) are desirable.
  • Strong multidisciplinary knowledge, especially in Process, Piping, Mechanical, Structural, Electrical & Instrumentation disciplines.
  • Experience in handling multiple customers and projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in engineering services organizations and handling of offshore design centers is preferred.
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
