Job Opportunity:

  • We seek a skilled mechanical engineer to drive VAVE projects for Schlage products in the NA region.
  • This role involves developing innovative design concepts, analyzing technical specifications, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in mechanical product development, including plastic, sheet metal, and diecast components.
  • A minimum of 3-8 years of experience in working on mechanical product development is required.
  • The successful candidate will be able to collaborate effectively within a team environment and maintain close partnerships with other functional departments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To contribute to multiple projects involving single components or subsystems related to VAVE projects.
  • Implement projects under the direction of senior engineers/project leads for different businesses.
  • Develop working knowledge of product family in assigned area with awareness of system design.
  • Work closely with Product Managers, Sourcing, Marketing, and Manufacturing teams to develop and deliver projects to launch.
  • Keep up-to-date and work with the Engineering team to implement the latest market technologies and industry standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from a reputable university.
  • Expertise in 3D CAD software, preferably CREO, and Windchill.
  • Strong analytical, mechanical, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
  • Knowledgeable in problem-solving skills.
