Job Title: Principal Mechanical Systems Designer

About the Role:

  • We seek an experienced mechanical systems designer to join our team.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong analytical and technical design skills with a proven track record in 3D modeling, mechanical system design, prototyping, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
  • A deep understanding of materials, tolerance analysis, IP-rated enclosure design, and mechanical assembly processes is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design complex mechanical components and assemblies for high-reliability products.
  • Create precise 3D CAD models using SolidWorks or equivalent CAD tools.
  • Collaborate closely with prototyping efforts using various methods including CNC machining, sheet metal fabrication, 3D printing, and plastic molding.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD modeling using SolidWorks (CSWP certification preferred), Creo, or Autodesk Inventor.
  • Strong expertise in mechanical enclosure design especially for IP65/IP68-rated products and rugged environments.
  • Hands-on experience with prototyping techniques including 3D printing, sheet metal fabrication, CNC machining, and injection molding.
