About This Role:

We seek a seasoned Audit Director to lead our internal audit and compliance efforts. This leadership position requires an expert in corporate, process, statutory, and IT audits.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the internal audit function and manage a team of auditors across various business units.
  • Develop, implement, and execute comprehensive audit plans, policies, and procedures covering all critical areas of our operations.
  • Conduct thorough audits of corporate departments, branches, and stock holdings to ensure compliance and accuracy.
  • Review and monitor adherence to established processes, financial reporting accuracy, and operational compliance.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and coordinate with external auditors as needed.
  • Identify potential risks, gaps, or control weaknesses in business operations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Supervise IT audits and ensure compliance with data security and IT governance practices.
  • Present audit findings, reports, and recommendations to senior management and the Board regularly.
  • Maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets and financial stability.
  • Foster professional growth and capability building among the audit team.
  • Be prepared for frequent travel to branch offices, warehouses, and retail outlets for audits.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Qualification: CA / ICWA (mandatory).
  • Proven experience in leading or heading an Internal Audit function.
  • Strong background in Corporate Audit, Process Audit, Statutory Audit, Stock Audit, and IT Audit.
  • Experience in managing large audit teams across multiple business units.
  • Preference given to candidates from the jewelry industry or industries with complex inventory, procurement, and retail operations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to travel frequently across branches and business units.
