Job Title: Corporate Actions Analyst

About the Role

As a Corporate Actions Analyst at FNZ Group, you will play a critical role in managing and processing corporate events that occur, ensuring that our clients receive the highest level of service in terms of accuracy and timeliness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process mandatory and voluntary corporate actions on managed funds, equities, and fixed-interest products within key performance indicator targets.
  • Sources all relevant information from fund managers, data feeds, Bloomberg, custodian agents, or relevant market exchange websites to ensure corporate actions are processed correctly.
  • Liaise with the Client Relationship and Support team to ensure all relevant information is communicated effectively to and from underlying clients.
  • Maintain internal stock and cash ledger control accounts and clear them on a daily basis.
  • Reconcile client holdings versus agent holdings to ensure they match during a corporate action.
  • Work with the IT department to develop system enhancements to improve the efficiency and accuracy of corporate action processing.
  • Collaborate with FNZ management and other team members to enhance processes for greater efficiencies and controls within the business.
  • Communicate effectively with third parties, such as fund managers, custodian agents, and brokers, to ensure everyone has a clear understanding of both incoming and outgoing corporate event notifications.
  • Test team process-related functions in the context of project releases and general regression testing where required.
  • Manage CA BAU to ensure all aspects are delivered within SLA/KPI requirements, MI reporting, team checklists, platform issue log management, and email inbox management.
  • Manage team compliance and regulatory requirements to ensure FNZ meets these requirements as set out in the External Audit, Internal Audit, Internal Monitoring Review, and any other regulatory requirements.
  • Work alongside the CA manager to motivate and engage the team in order to achieve company and team goals.
  • Deliver tailored staff development plans in regular one-to-ones alongside the CA manager.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate personal accountability by flagging errors to the Team Manager and taking corrective action promptly.
  • Escalate issues promptly and respond positively to feedback.

Experience Required

  • Corporate actions analysts should have a background and interest in financial markets, ideally with exposure to corporate actions.
  • Tertiary qualification.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in operations is required.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in corporate actions is required.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (including MSSQL Server 2008) skills required.
  • Attitude to execute, deliver, and succeed.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Proven communications skills.
  • Ability to solve financial market and IT system issues.
  • Enthusiastic and able to perform the role autonomously while being a team player and contributing to the overall success of the team and wider business.
  • Proven project delivery.
