Job Summary

A Robotics Specialist designs, develops and maintains robotic systems and automation solutions.

  • They apply mechanical, electrical and software engineering principles to build robots that enhance efficiency, safety and productivity in industries such as manufacturing, healthcare, defense and logistics.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design Development and Testing: Design, build and test robotic systems, components and prototypes.
  • Automation Software Development: Develop and program control systems, sensors and automation software.
  • Troubleshooting and Maintenance: Troubleshoot, maintain and improve existing robotic applications.
  • Research and Development: Conduct research to enhance robotic capabilities and integrate emerging technologies (AI, ML, IoT).
  • Collaboration and Integration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integration and performance.
  • Documentation and Compliance: Prepare technical documentation, reports and user manuals. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Educational Background: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Robotics, Mechanical, Electrical or Computer Engineering.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages (C++, Python, MATLAB, ROS).
  • Control Systems Knowledge: Knowledge of control systems, sensors and embedded systems.
  • Design Skills: Experience with CAD software and mechanical design.
  • Skill Set: Strong problem-solving, analytical and teamwork skills.
  • Additive Skills: Familiarity with AI, computer vision and machine learning is a plus.
