Job Title: WAN Support Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled WAN Support Engineer to join our team. This individual will be responsible for the operation and support of WAN networks across global sites in a 24/7 rotational shift model.

Main Responsibilities

  • Operate and maintain WAN networks, ensuring high network uptime and adherence to Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets.
  • Handle Layer 2 escalations and troubleshoot incidents related to routing, switching, and WAN link issues.
  • Configure and manage BGP routing, as well as perform changes, updates, and problem resolutions.
  • Collaborate with telecom vendors and Internet Service Providers (ISPs) for link provisioning, troubleshooting, and escalations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation for shift handovers, ticket logs, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) reports.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Familiarity with IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes and ticketing tools.
  • Experience with Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS), Open Shortest Path First (OSPF), and Quality of Service (QoS).
  • Exposure to enterprise monitoring tools.
  • Ability to create and update network diagrams and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
