Job Overview

The ideal candidate will drive the hardware architecture and component selection for the next generation automotive audio system. They will collaborate with global teams to recommend electronic audio components, including amplifiers, microphone interfaces/audio ADCs, audio DSPs, audio power circuitry/PMICs, speaker interfaces, and digital audio interfaces.

To succeed in this role, the candidate should have a deep understanding of relevant automotive safety and quality standards, such as ISO 26262 and AEC-Q100, as well as experience with acoustic measurement instruments, audio data acquisition, analysis systems, and Audio Precision.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive HW architecture and component selection/decision for next-gen automotive audio system
  • Collaborate with global teams to ensure component requirements are met
  • Recommend electronic audio components, including amplifiers, microphone interfaces/audio ADCs, audio DSPs, audio power circuitry/PMICs, speaker interfaces, and digital audio interfaces
  • Work closely with vehicle architects, safety engineers, and buyers/purchasers to ensure chosen components meet performance, reliability, and cost requirements
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics, Telecommunication, or equivalent Engineering
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience in automotive embedded electronics designs or hardware/system architectural role
  • Strong understanding of In-vehicle infotainment system, Audio system, Automotive vehicle connectivity systems, and ECU design, development, and testing
  • Experience in Automotive ECU design, Audio standards, automotive testing and certification
  • Excellent teamwork spirit, communication skills, and ability to work across different regions and time zones
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in automotive industry (OEM, TIER1, TIER2)
  • Understanding and knowledge of Board software/Bring up software, Audio DSP and MCUs
  • Knowledge of safety standards including ISO 26262, Euro NAP, and Security regulations would be a plus
