Product Engineering Manager Role

The ideal candidate will lead and manage various hardware and software engineering projects and activities within the organisation. They will coordinate with Product Management and Architecture teams to ensure end-to-end product architecture and requirements, ensuring alignment across software, mechanical, and electrical teams.

This includes managing product milestones, activities, tasks, and changes through formal systems, as well as tracking progress, issues, and risks for stakeholders and the broader business.

A key aspect of this role is promoting effective use of development, testing, tracking, and communication tools across teams, improving processes and governance standards, and supporting teams in adopting and adhering to best practices.

Responsibilities also include leading technical documentation, design reviews, and cross-functional team collaboration, as well as providing regular updates on progress and issues to teams, stakeholders, and the broader business.

Key Qualifications
  • Resourceful with strong problem-solving and resolution skills
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • 12+ years of experience in hardware and software product development, with significant leadership exposure
  • Experience with SolidWorks for mechanical design
  • Hands-on experience with PCB design and development
  • Background in both mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines
  • Strong process improvement and governance expertise
  • Experience managing stakeholders in a global, cross-functional environment
