**Software Asset Management Expert**We are seeking a seasoned professional to drive our Software Asset Management (SAM) strategy.This role is critical in ensuring the end-to-end lifecycle of software assets aligns with contractual, financial, and regulatory requirements.
  1. Process software requests via vendor portals, validate license availability, assign licenses through vendor portals, initiate license harvesting or procurement when required, and maintain accurate records of license assignments, usage, and compliance.
  2. Track contract expirations using dashboards, coordinate with legal and procurement for contract reviews and renewals, ensure contracts are active and published before purchasing, and maintain documentation for audit readiness.
  3. Create and manage Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and Purchase Orders (POs), collaborate with the Center of Excellence (COE) for PR processing, ensure all approvals are documented, track PO status, and update stakeholders accordingly.
  4. Utilize shared mailboxes for all vendor interactions, ensure all communications are tagged to relevant tickets, coordinate with vendors for quotes, license keys, and order confirmations.
  5. Coordinate with desktop engineering and local IT for software packaging and deployment, track deployment status, update tickets, manage add-ons and plugin deployments via Intune and Microsoft Entra.
  6. Conduct regular license usage reviews, reclaim unused licenses, ensure all actions are documented for audit and compliance, support internal and vendor audits by providing accurate license data.
  7. Maintain and update SAM dashboards for renewals and compliance tracking, export and format data from systems for dashboard imports, utilize dashboards for team coordination and audit visibility.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's degree in IT, Business, or related field.
  2. 3-6 years of experience in Software Asset Management or IT Procurement.
  3. Proficiency in SAP, Ariba, Asana, Remedy (BMC Helix), and Microsoft 365 Admin Center.
  4. Strong understanding of software licensing models and compliance.
  5. Experience with vendor portals and contract management systems.
  6. Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a global team environment.
