Data Insights Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical professional to manage organizational performance, generate business insights through data analysis, and monitor key performance indicators across functions. The role involves preparing periodic reports, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting management in strategic decision-making.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and automate reporting systems (daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly) to ensure timely delivery of accurate data.
  • Consolidate financial, operational, and business data into dashboards and presentations for informed decision-making.

Data Analysis & Insights

  • Analyze data from multiple internal systems and external sources to identify trends, variances, and root causes of key business metrics.
  • Provide actionable insights to management for business growth, cost control, and efficiency improvements.

Performance Monitoring

  • Track business performance against budgets, forecasts, and targets to highlight risks, opportunities, and performance gaps proactively.
  • Design and maintain performance scorecards and dashboards for different business functions.

Process Improvement & Automation

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline data collection and reporting processes.
  • Suggest and implement automation opportunities using tools like Excel and Power BI.
  • Standardize templates, processes, and reports for efficiency and productivity.

Key Competencies/Skillsets

  • Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret large datasets and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, macros), Power BI preferred.
  • Understanding of financial and operational performance metrics.
  • Attention to detail with ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, or Data Analytics.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in MIS, business analysis, or data analytics.
  • Experience in financial services/investments/payments preferred.
