Senior Business Data Analyst

About the Position:
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to fill a Business Analyst role in our organization. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical part in data analysis and validation, ensuring data integrity and accuracy, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough data analysis and validation of files to be ingested
- Ensure accurate data ingestion processes by implementing data quality control measures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and data needs
- Develop and implement data validation and quality control processes to ensure high-quality data
- Identify and resolve data discrepancies and inconsistencies in a timely manner
- Produce detailed documentation related to data analysis and ingestion processes
- Generate insightful reports based on data analysis and provide recommendations for improvement
- Support in the development and maintenance of data management systems
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in health informatics, statistics, mathematics, computer science, or a related field
- Mandatory healthcare experience
- A minimum of 4 years of experience in data analysis and data management
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python)
- Strong understanding of healthcare data and healthcare payer systems
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) processes
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA)
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience in project management and leading data-related projects
