Senior Manager Test Planning and Execution


Enable Business Success with Operational Resilience Strategy
The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and improving the operational resilience testing strategy and delivery roadmap. They will work closely with entity teams to ensure planning and testing are rigorous and aligned with current guidance.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Maintain Testing Strategy and Roadmap: Align with regulatory requirements and business priorities.
  • SME Support: Provide expertise to Op Res, threat intelligence, and testing teams.
  • Threat Intelligence Management: Collect, process, analyze, and disseminate threat intelligence at a Group Level.
  • Group High-Level Threat Register: Maintain and update directly and support ad hoc threat assessments.
  • Group Scenarios Library: Maintain and update the library for scenario planning and testing.
  • Testing Strategy and Plan Framework: Review, maintain, and approve.
  • Industry Tests: Identify and lead engagements to deepen and broaden resilience.
  • Scenario Testing Plans: Develop, prepare, and maintain for Group and Important Group Business Service (IGBS).
  • Scenario Testing Execution: Develop, prepare, and execute as detailed in the Group Test plan or ad hoc as directed.
  • Operational Resilience Embedment: Work across the Group to embed and sustain scenario testing.
  • Testing Outcome Analysis: Analyze to drive insight that improves testing and resilience.
  • Monitoring and Tracking: Lead monitoring, tracking, and provide MI on observations actions identified via group-led tests.
  • Vulnerability Identification and Management: Support definition, documentation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
  • Regulatory Engagement: Support engagement, audits, and supervisory reviews ensuring integration and alignment of the framework to the Risk and Control Framework.


Requirements:
  • Strong Testing Expertise: Proven experience of Operational Resilience Scenario Testing related resilience disciplines.
  • Operational Resilience Knowledge: In-depth understanding of operational resilience regulatory requirements and the broader landscape.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to break down complex issues and apply analytical techniques.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communications skills to communicate complex issues simply and effectively.
  • Stakeholder Management: Ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams and transcend organisational boundaries.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Creative and pragmatic approach to identifying issues and implementing effective solutions.
  • Self-Starter: Self-starting with strong intellectual curiosity driving a proactive continuous improvement mindset.
  • Attention to Detail: High-quality deliverables meeting expectations.
