Fund Accounting Manager Role

About the Position:

We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Fund Accounting Manager to lead fund accounting operations, manage client relationships, and deliver high-quality financial reporting and fund administration services. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong background in private equity, hedge funds, and investor services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver accurate and timely fund accounting services including Financial Statements, Net Asset Values (NAV), capital accounts, distribution notices, and tax provisions.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations and coordinate audits.
  • Manage client relationships and ensure Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met and exceeded.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Drive automation, efficiency, and cost improvements within processes.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team with structured career development and succession planning.
  • Monitor and control operational risks by reviewing performance metrics and implementing a risk-based approach.
Requirements:Qualifications & Experience
  • Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or equivalent qualification.
  • 8+ years in fund accounting with strong exposure to private equity or hedge funds.
  • Proven leadership in managing and developing teams within a matrix structure.
  • Strong analytical, financial reporting, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and fund accounting systems.
  • Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
