Director of E-commerce Growth

We are seeking an experienced professional to drive the growth and expansion of our e-commerce business. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive growth strategy across various channels, including direct-to-consumer, marketplaces, offline, and emerging markets.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Owning the full profit and loss (P&L) for the geography, setting aggressive revenue, margin, and customer acquisition cost (CAC)/lifetime value (LTV) targets.
  • Crafting and executing a holistic growth strategy that includes D2C, marketplaces, offline, and emerging channels.
  • Forecasting demand and managing end-to-end inventory to ensure stock-out rates are ≤2% and ageing stock is ≤4%.
  • Defining product-market fit, localizing hero SKUs, crafting new-product roadmaps, and sunsetting low-return-on-investment (ROI) lines.
  • Collaborating with research and development (R&D) to adapt formulations for regional regulations and sensorial preferences.
  • Orchestrating 360-degree marketing, including performance, influencer, customer relationship management (CRM), and public relations (PR), allocating budgets for maximum return on ad spend (ROAS).
  • Establishing data pipelines and dashboards to track cohorts, repeat rates, marketplace rankings in real-time.
  • Negotiating with third-party logistics providers (3PLs), payment partners, and duty consultants to optimize landed costs and service-level agreements (SLAs).
  • Recruiting, mentoring, and performance-managing cross-functional teams, including growth, operations, customer success, retail, and trade.
  • Championing customer obsession by mining voice-of-customer (VOC) insights to feed product updates and customer experience enhancements.
  • Driving strategic partnerships with wellness chains, tourism boards, Ayurveda clinics to amplify reach.
  • Ensuring legal and tax compliance, including cosmetics claims, import duties, and General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR)-like mandates.
  • Presenting quarterly business reviews to global leadership, highlighting wins, risks, and next bets.
  • Deploying a test-and-learn culture, running A/B tests on funnels, creatives, bundles, and pricing levers.
  • Setting up disaster-recovery and continuity plans for supply, logistics, ads, and key seller accounts.
  • Benchmarking competition, delivering actionable intelligence on pricing, share-of-voice, and shelf velocity.
