Accounting and Finance Leadership Role

A forward-thinking insurance organization is seeking a seasoned Accounting and Finance Manager to spearhead excellence, ensure regulatory compliance, and contribute to strategic decision-making in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ensure Regulatory Compliance: As the primary contact for IFSCA, SEZ, and tax authorities, oversee local finance and tax matters with precision.
  • Lead Financial Reporting: Deliver accurate financial reports for General Insurance and Life & Health, maintaining robust accounting records that meet industry standards.
  • Oversee Accounting & Tax: Manage closings, local regulatory reporting, tax filings, and ensure compliance with Indian GAAP and IFRS standards, driving business growth through sound financial management.
  • Drive Insights & Forecasting: Analyze key financial drivers, provide detailed calculations for business performance, and manage forecasting and closing processes to inform strategic decisions.
  • Optimize Cash Flow & Operations: Monitor cash flows, manage accounts receivable/payable aging, and maintain effective financial controls across investment and cash flow operations, ensuring seamless transactions.
  • Champion Process Efficiency: Enhance workflows, support planning/projection processes, and ensure high data quality across end-to-end financial processes, driving operational excellence.
  • Lead Special Projects: Support IFRS 17 transitions, compile ad-hoc internal/external reports, and collaborate with accounting and tax consultants to drive project success.
  • Build Resilience: Implement delegation and contingency plans to ensure continuity during absences, guaranteeing business stability.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Professional Expertise: A fully qualified accountant with 10-12 years of experience in the insurance industry, possessing a deep understanding of regulatory frameworks and industry standards.
  • Regulatory Mastery: In-depth knowledge of IFSCA requirements, IRDAI framework, and Indian tax regulations, enabling effective compliance and risk management.
  • Technical Proficiency: Expertise in Indian GAAP, IFRS, and advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and SAP financial systems, facilitating efficient financial operations.
  • Strategic Mindset: Ability to analyze financials, work independently, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment, driving business growth through informed decision-making.
  • Leadership & Communication: Professional engagement with internal/external stakeholders, with a focus on detail and critical thinking, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication.
  • Adaptability: Willingness to relocate to GIFT City, India, and ability to quickly master proprietary accounting systems, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly changing environment.
