Job Overview


We are seeking a seasoned Data Science Head to lead our data science team in driving business value through modeling and experimentation. As a hands-on manager, you will oversee the development of world-class products, mentor contributors, and apply data and algorithmic thinking to address business problems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and lead the data science team to deliver high-impact products.
  • Oversight of model development from code reviews to launches while keeping the team accountable and impactful.
  • Giving data scientists the tools and motivation to build predictive models that drive business results.
  • Applying data and algorithmic thinking to address business and domain problems.
  • Cross-functional work with engineering teams and Product Management to solve problems and identify trends.
  • Leading the technical strategy of the data science team.
  • Hands-on coding, building, and integrating models as needed.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as manager of data scientists and machine learning engineers.
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning tools, techniques, and frameworks.
  • Experience building and productizing models, iterating, and improving them over time.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with foundational skills in Python, pandas, and SQL.
