Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Chief Safety Officer (CSO) to lead our Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of employees and visitors within the campus.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Testing fire alarm systems and fire fighting systems
  • Periodically checking fire extinguishers
  • Ensuring legal compliance and monitoring
  • Providing EHS guidance and support services to facilities
  • Investigating accidents, incidents, and near misses
  • Identifying activity-based risk assessments and conducting them on a monthly basis
  • Managing internal and external audits by management and certification bodies
  • Conducting statutory mock drills and internal mock drills
  • Inspecting equipment and work places to ensure proper protective equipment is provided and used correctly
  • Handling waste management disposal processes
  • Ensuring regular meetings and documentation of safety committee activities
  • Maintaining site-specific emergency response procedures
  • Leading teams to implement environment, health, and safety requirements throughout the campus
  • Maintaining documentation according to company standards and procedures
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Any Graduate degree
  • Any Postgraduate degree
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in EHS
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information
