IT Applications Manager

This is a highly responsible role that requires a strong technical background and excellent leadership skills. The IT Applications Manager will be accountable for managing and ensuring seamless operations of all academic, administrative, and enterprise IT applications.

The ideal candidate will have around 15 years of progressive experience in IT application management, ideally in higher education or large enterprise environments. They should possess expertise in managing Salesforce CRM, ERP (Finance & HR), SIS, LMS, Library Management, and related systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Application Management & Operations
    • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of enterprise applications (deployment, configuration, upgrades, integration, performance optimization).
    • Ensure high availability, reliability, and security of all academic and administrative applications.
    • Oversee issue resolution, incident management, and root cause analysis for application-related problems.
  • Stakeholder Engagement
    • Partner with leaders to understand requirements and deliver effective IT solutions.
    • Act as the primary liaison with application vendors and service providers.
    • Lead user adoption initiatives, including training and support.
  • Strategic Planning & Governance
    • Define and execute the application roadmap in alignment with institutional digital transformation goals.
    • Establish governance standards, documentation, and compliance with IT policies.
    • Recommend and implement innovative technology solutions to enhance teaching, learning, and operations.
  • Team Leadership & Vendor Management
    • Lead and mentor the application support team.
    • Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts/SLAs, and ensure quality service delivery.
    • Promote a culture of service excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Integration & Data Management
    • Drive seamless integration of CRM, SIS, LMS, ERP, HRMS, and other systems.
    • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accessibility across platforms.
    • Maintain compliance with data privacy, cybersecurity, and higher education regulatory requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).
  • Around 15 years of progressive experience in IT application management, ideally in higher education or large enterprise environments.
  • Expertise in managing Salesforce CRM, ERP (Finance & HR), SIS, LMS, Library Management, and related systems.
  • Strong experience in application integration, vendor management, and IT governance.
  • Demonstrated success in leading teams and managing complex projects.
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity, compliance, and digital transformation best practices.
