Senior Audit Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Audit Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our audit team, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality audit services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Understanding: Develop an in-depth understanding of your clients' businesses and industries, including their accounting and control systems, employees, company values, and industry-related IFRS or GAAP and GAAS issues.
  • Audit Approach: Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the RSM audit approach, methodology, and tools, and develop skills to perform audit procedures and tests in accordance with the overall audit plan.
  • Risk Identification: Identify areas of risk and accounting and auditing issues, discuss with engagement teams to solve issues that arise, and research technical accounting issues.
  • Report Preparation: Prepare audit reports, management letters, and ensure documentation is compliant with quality standards of the firm.
  • Collaboration and Supervision: Work collaboratively as part of the team, communicate effectively with RSM audit professionals, provide supervision and development training for associates, and take ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables.

Requirements:

  • Semi-qualified ACCA/CPA or qualified CA/ACCA/Licensed CPA.
  • 2-4 years of relevant experience working in an accounting and audit-related field, specifically in the NFP industry.
  • Strong technical skills in accounting, including IFRS or GAAP and GAAS.
  • Strong data analytical skills, including advanced Excel skills (Vlookups, pivot tables, and basic formulas), Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as the position requires frequent communications with RSM International clients and United States-based engagement teams.
