Job Title: Senior Corporate Compliance Expert

We are seeking a seasoned legal professional to join our team as a senior corporate compliance expert. The ideal candidate will have at least 8-14 years of experience in a legal & compliance role, with a strong track record in developing and implementing effective corporate compliance programs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Monitor risk and compliance issues, and implement mitigation/remediation solutions to ensure seamless business operations.
  • Provide guidance on reviewing and drafting policies, guidelines, and SOPs for regulatory compliance, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices.
  • Advise on data protection and privacy legislations, including incident management and record retention management, to safeguard sensitive information.
  • Support cybersecurity compliance and risk management, including advising on disclosure requirements and interacting with external vendors to mitigate potential threats.
  • Advise on immigration laws in EU, APAC, and MEA, including review of policy/guidance documents to ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
Required Skills:
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations, including Data Privacy, Cyber Security, Immigration, and Mobility, with the ability to analyze and apply complex regulations to real-world scenarios.
  • Independent project management, including interaction with stakeholders to drive results-oriented outcomes.
  • Ability to manage/support review and audit exercises, ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Good communication, interpersonal, and written communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion in sensitive matters, upholding the highest standards of professionalism and ethics.
Qualifications:
  • LLB/LLM degree along with relevant experience as compliance counsel, demonstrating a deep understanding of legal principles and their application in a business context.
