Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Fabrication Specialist to join our team. As an Industrial Fabrication Specialist, you will be responsible for performing various welding processes and fabricating structural steel components.

  • The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of fabrication drawings, welding symbols, and quality control measures.
  • You will be required to work collaboratively with the QA/QC team to ensure high-quality welds that meet ASME/AWS/IS standards.
  • Maintaining a safe working environment and adhering to strict safety standards is also a crucial aspect of this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform various welding processes such as SMAW, MIG, TIG, FCAW, and SAW based on project requirements.
  • Weld structural steel components like beams, columns, base plates, stiffeners, etc. to ensure strong and durable structures.
  • Read and interpret welding symbols, fabrication drawings, and WPS (Welding Procedure Specifications) to execute the job with precision.
  • Ensure high-quality welds that meet ASME/AWS/IS standards by adhering to quality control measures.
  • Collaborate with the QA/QC team for weld inspection, NDT clearance, and rework if required to maintain the highest standards of workmanship.
  • Maintain tools, welding machines, and a clean work area to promote efficiency and productivity.
  • Adhere to strict safety standards including the use of PPE, fire watch, hot work permits, etc. to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • ITI Diploma in relevant field
  • 2–7 years of experience in industrial fabrication or construction, preferably in a supervisory role
  • Valid Welding Certifications (ASME/AWS/IS preferred)
  • Ability to work from fabrication drawings and welding symbols, with attention to detail and accuracy
  • Physically fit and capable of working in confined spaces or at height, with a strong sense of balance and coordination
  • Knowledge of materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and alloy steel
