Chief Data Systems Architect

This position is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining large-scale data systems. A skilled professional will be working closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark and cloud-based technologies.
  • Develop and maintain complex SQL queries to extract insights from large datasets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate data engineering solutions into business applications.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide data-driven insights.
  • Continuously improve data quality, performance, and security of data systems.
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5-8 years of experience in data engineering with a focus on big data technologies.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Apache Spark (RDDs, DataFrames, Spark SQL, PySpark).
  • Deep understanding of Spark cluster architecture and performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in AWS ecosystem: Glue, S3, Lambda, Redshift, CloudWatch.
  • Solid expertise in Snowflake: Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Time Travel, and data sharing.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and SQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation).
