Capital Markets Advisory Role

The primary responsibility of this position is to work in a team dedicated to providing advisory services to companies considering an initial public offering (IPO). The candidate will be involved in conducting diagnostic studies to identify potential IPO aspirants, managing the IPO timetable, and ensuring smooth investor relations post-IPO.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of each company's financial statements and processes to identify gaps in policies, standard operating procedures, closing time tables, control adequacy, enterprise resource planning systems, etc.
  • Assess the preparedness of information systems across the organization.
  • Evaluate the use of enterprise resource planning systems across functions within the organization and assess their adequacy.
  • Develop and implement a compliance checklist for clients and ensure it meets required standards.
  • Examine the risk profile of companies from an enterprise risk management perspective.
  • Collaborate with the Environmental, Social, and Governance team on an ESG strategy.
  • Identify opportunities for operational improvement, revenue acceleration, and cost optimization.
Project Management:
  • Act as a liaison between client teams and IPO consultants to ensure timely completion of projects.
  • Verify data provided by clients before sharing it with consultants.
  • Serve as a point of contact for consultants' needs from the client in an IPO war room setting.
Investor Relations:
  • Work closely with clients on quarterly presentations to boards and investors.
  • Help set up quarterly analyst calls and post-analyst call transcripts.
  • Support clients in improving sell-side coverage.
  • Engage with buy-side investors and facilitate continuous discussion with existing investors.
  • Conduct perception studies about clients among market participants.
  • Prepare peer benchmarking analysis and reports.

Mandatory skill sets include statutory audit, internal audit, project management office, and IPO experience. Preferred skill sets include IPO client handling.
