About the Role

This position is responsible for managing and maintaining our Google Cloud Platform environment.

  • Ensure the availability, performance, security, and reliability of GCP services.
  • Provide day-to-day operational support, troubleshooting, and incident resolution.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Infrastructure Administration: Administer and support GCP infrastructure services (Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Storage, VPC, IAM, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, Pub/Sub, etc.).
  2. System Monitoring: Monitor system health, performance, and availability using GCP monitoring tools (Stackdriver, Cloud Logging, Cloud Monitoring).
  3. User Access Management: Manage user access and security policies via IAM and service accounts.
  4. Incident Resolution: Perform incident management, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis for GCP services.
  5. Networking Deployment: Deploy, configure, and manage networking (VPC, VPN, Interconnect, Load Balancers, Firewalls) within GCP.
  6. Automation: Automate operational tasks using Terraform / Deployment Manager / scripts.
  7. Data Backup: Support backup, recovery, and disaster recovery (DR) solutions on GCP.
  8. Collaboration: Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for application deployment and integration.
  9. Policies Compliance: Ensure compliance with security and governance policies.
  10. Documentation: Create and maintain documentation, runbooks, and SOPs for GCP operations.
Requirements
  • GCP Experience: Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) administration and support.
  • GCP Services: Hands-on with GCP services: Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, IAM, Networking, Cloud SQL, BigQuery, GKE, Pub/Sub.
  • Linux/Windows System Administration: Good knowledge of Linux/Windows system administration.
  • Scripting: Familiarity with scripting (Python, Shell, PowerShell, etc.) for automation.
  • Networking: Understanding of networking (DNS, VPN, Load Balancing, Firewalls, VPC peering).
  • Monitoring Tools: Experience with monitoring, logging, and alerting tools (Stackdriver / Cloud Monitoring).
  • Cloud Security: Knowledge of Cloud Security best practices, IAM, and compliance.
  • ITIL Processes: Familiarity with ITIL processes (Incident, Change, Problem Management).
  • Problem Solving: Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Skills
  • Terraform/Aws Ansible: Experience with Terraform / Ansible / Deployment Manager.
  • Kubernetes: Exposer to Kubernetes (GKE) and container management.
  • Ci/Cd Pipelines: Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Gcp Certification: GCP Certification (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect) is a plus.
