Site Reliability Engineer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Site Reliability Engineer to join our team. As a Senior SRE, you will play a key role in enhancing organizational efficiency by combining development and operations expertise.

This role requires collaboration, problem-solving, and tech expertise in areas such as cloud operations and Observability tools. You will work closely with product development teams, Cloud Infrastructure, and other SRE teams to ensure effective observability and improve reliability.

Tech expertise in cloud operations, software development lifecycle, and Observability tools is beneficial. We apply principles like blameless postmortems and automation to continually improve knowledge and maintain quality of life.

Responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring scalability, performance, and resilience of our products and processes.
  • Tackling complex development, automation, and business process issues while championing our standards.
  • Identifying recurring problems and anti-patterns in development, operational, and security processes.
  • Developing build, test, and deployment automation targeting multiple regions.
  • Contribution to Open-Source projects.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and distributed team experience.
  • A passion for making things better for peers.
  • AWS management experience or operational knowledge of managing applications.
  • Fluency in scripting languages such as Typescript, Javascript, Python, Ruby, and Bash.
  • SDLC methodologies (preferably Agile) and Observability experience.
  • Working knowledge of APM, monitoring, and logging tools (Datadog, New Relic, Splunk).
  • Good understanding of containerization concepts.
  • Troubleshooting and incident response with standard setting.

Preferred Skills:

  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as CloudFormation, CDK, and Terraform.
  • Experience managing 3-tier application stacks.
  • Basic networking concepts and Server configuration through Chef, Puppet, Ansible.
  • NoSQL databases such as MongoDB, Couchbase, Postgres.
