Job Title: Lead Database Administrator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and optimization of our database systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Management & Administration
    • Oversight of relational and non-relational database systems installation, configuration, and maintenance.
    • Capacity planning, performance tuning, backup, and recovery strategies management.
    • Databases health monitoring, issue troubleshooting, high availability, and disaster recovery readiness assurance.
    • Patches, upgrades, and migrations implementation with minimal downtime.
  • Leadership & Team Management
    • Team leadership, mentorship, and management ensuring best practices and knowledge sharing.
    • Task allocation, workload monitoring, and technical guidance provision to DBA team members.
    • Critical database issues escalation point role.
  • Performance Optimization & Scalability
    • Analysis and optimization of database queries, indexes, and stored procedures for improved performance.
    • Design and implementation of scalability solutions to support growing data volumes and business needs.
    • Collaboration with developers and system architects to optimize application-database interactions.
  • Strategic Initiatives
    • Alignment of database strategies with organizational goals through collaboration with application development, DevOps, and infrastructure teams.
    • Support of cloud migration initiatives and hybrid database solutions.
    • Provision of strategic recommendations for database technologies, tools, and frameworks.
  • Monitoring & Reporting
    • Implementation of monitoring tools to track database performance, capacity, and availability.
    • Preparation of regular reports on system health, incidents, and optimization activities.
