Job Opportunity: Senior Process Safety Professional

Job Overview:

A highly skilled professional with expertise in process safety management and health, safety, and environment (HSE) standards is sought to ensure compliance across engineering, construction, and operational phases.

Key Responsibilities:

Process Safety Leadership:

  • Develop and facilitate HAZOP, HAZID, SIL/LOPA studies to identify and mitigate potential risks.
  • Prepare/review safety documents, including Fire Risk Assessments, DSRs, Hazardous Area Classification, and QRA, FERA, ESSA studies.
  • Review P&IDs, layouts, and equipment specs from a safety design perspective.
  • Support design reviews, management of change (MoC), and alarm rationalization to optimize process safety.

HSE Governance:

  • Develop and implement HSE plans, risk assessments, and method statements for projects.
  • Conduct site HSE inspections, toolbox talks, and compliance checks during construction or commissioning.
  • Ensure adherence to international HSE standards (OSHA, ISO 45001, ISO 14001).
  • Lead or support incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to drive continuous improvement.
  • Drive safety culture across project teams and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical / Process / Environmental / Safety Engineering.
  • 8+ years in process safety and HSE, preferably in EPC/design/project environments.
  • Strong knowledge of PSM, risk assessment, and HSE regulations.
  • Proficient in tools like PHAST, PHA-Pro, BowTieXP, DNV software.
  • Certifications: NEBOSH IGC/PSM, TÜV Functional Safety, or equivalent preferred.
