We are seeking a seasoned Process Safety Specialist to spearhead our efforts in ensuring the safe operation of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct Comprehensive Risk Assessments
    • HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, QRA, and What-If studies to guarantee robust process safety standards in all facilities.
  • Implement and Oversee Management of Change (MOC) Procedures
    • To ensure changes are safely managed and thoroughly documented.
  • Lead Incident Investigations
    • Related to process safety; identify root causes and drive corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
  • Audit, Develop, and Review Safe Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • For compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Evaluate Mechanical Integrity
    • Of critical process equipment through regular assessments to minimize downtime and risks.
  • Design New or Modify Existing Process Systems
    • Equipment, and control schemes for greenfield and brownfield projects to optimize performance and safety.
  • Develop and Evaluate Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs)
    • Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), mass and energy balances to ensure safety, environment, and performance objectives are met.
  • Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams
    • Production, Mechanical, E&I, Project, Safety to achieve seamless project execution and maximum value.
  • Drive Sustainability Initiatives
    • Energy optimization, water/CO₂ reduction, and continuous efficiency improvements to reduce environmental footprint.
  • Define, Track, and Report on Process Safety KPIs
    • Leading/lagging indicators, MOC compliance, audit results, training metrics to inform data-driven decisions.
  • Proactively Identify and Implement Process Safety Improvement Opportunities
    • In design, engineering, and operations to continuously enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Advise on Change Management Initiatives
    • Impacting process safety and integrate best practices in all process developments.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in chemical engineering and process safety management, with at least 10 years of experience in the chemical, petrochemical, fertilizer, or hazardous process industries. A B.Tech/B.E. in Chemical Engineering is preferred, along with an additional qualification in Process Safety Management (PSM). This role is a diversity-focused position and can be based at any of our plant locations.
