Job Description

We are seeking a professional to assume the role of Senior Risk Management Specialist. This position involves participating in the identification, assessment, and mitigation of current and emerging risk exposures within the Control Management functional area.

The ideal candidate will have experience in risk management or control management, as well as strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. They should be able to communicate effectively with senior executive-level leaders and demonstrate negotiation skills when partnering with senior management.

In this role, you will participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area. You will also provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls.

Other responsibilities include collaborating with relevant business groups to identify current and emerging issues associated with leveraging the control taxonomy, monitoring moderately complex business specific programs, and performing ongoing monitoring of control inventory and remediation for inactive and orphan controls.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a related field such as risk management, control management, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in risk management or control management, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards and best practices around quality assurance, control design, control evaluation/testing, internal audit, and risk management processes.
