Business Development Lead - Long Haul FIT

To spearhead the strategic growth and profitability of the long-haul flexibility travel business by conceiving innovative products, fortifying supplier relationships, optimizing pricing strategies, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.


Purpose of Role:

To strategically drive and expand the long-haul FIT business by crafting personalized travel experiences, boosting revenue and profitability, managing supplier networks across key international destinations, and ensuring a seamless end-to-end customer journey.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute comprehensive business plans to grow the long-haul FIT business in alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Oversee the P&L for the long haul vertical and ensure top-line and bottom-line performance.
  • Define and propel the product portfolio, market positioning, and pricing strategy.
  • Curate and manage end-to-end customized itineraries for long-haul destinations.
  • Introduce unique travel experiences and partnerships aligned with emerging traveler preferences.
  • Leverage technology and tools to enhance FIT trip planning and booking processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the sales team to ensure effective training, product awareness, and conversion.
  • Monitor channel performance (retail, OTA, GSA, corporate leisure, etc.) and optimize for profitability.
  • Identify and pursue opportunities for B2B/B2C expansion in key markets.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relations with DMCs, hotels, airlines, and local tour operators.
