Infrastructure Engineer Job Description

As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable and resilient infrastructure solutions. You will work closely with the Infrastructure Architect to ensure that our systems are always available and performing optimally.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Designing and implementing infrastructure solutions using Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, HAProxy, SQL Server administration and performance tuning, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPN).
  • Implementing and maintaining backup, disaster recovery, and high availability strategies to ensure business continuity.
  • Managing and maintaining Windows Server environments, IIS, SQL Server, and application services supporting Delmia Apriso.
  • Monitoring system performance and proactively addressing issues related to servers, databases, and network components.
Technical Skills & Tools

You should have strong knowledge of the following technologies and tools:

  • Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, HAProxy, SQL Server administration and performance tuning, Virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V), and Networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, firewalls, VPN).
  • Clustered environments, including Windows Failover Clustering for high availability, SQL Server Always on Availability Groups or Failover Cluster Instances (FCI), Load balancing and redundancy strategies for application and web tiers.
  • Cloud platforms (Azure preferred) and hybrid environments.
  • PowerShell or other scripting tools for automation.
  • Delmia Apriso or other MES platforms (preferred).
