We're seeking an expert in geospatial technology to lead the development of custom GIS applications and web-based mapping solutions. Your primary responsibility will be to design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge GIS systems that meet the evolving needs of our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create spatial data models and perform complex spatial analysis using industry-standard tools and software.
  • Analyze user requirements to optimize geospatial workflows and integrate GIS applications with various enterprise systems and APIs.
  • Maintain and optimize spatial databases (e.g., PostGIS, SQL Server with spatial extensions) for efficient data storage and retrieval.
  • Develop scripts and tools for data automation, analysis, and processing (Python/ArcPy).
  • Design and implement interactive maps, dashboards, and visualizations using ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, or Mapbox.
Required Skills & Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you must possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field, along with a minimum 7 years of experience in GIS development.

  • Proficiency in ESRI ArcGIS Suite (ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Online) is essential.
  • You must have experience migrating Geocortex Essentials and custom HTML 5 web applications into ESRI's JavaScript API version 4.
  • A strong understanding of VertiGIS Studio Suite of tools and ESRI Experience Builder is also required.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript (Leaflet/ArcGIS API for JS), or .NET for GIS applications are necessary.
  • Experience with spatial databases: PostGIS, SQL Server, Oracle Spatial.
  • Familiarity with ETL/data transformation tools like FME, GDAL, or other tools.
  • Knowledge of web development frameworks and APIs (REST/SOAP).
  • Experience integrating GIS with other enterprise systems (ERP, CRM).
  • Familiarity with open-source GIS platforms (QGIS, GeoServer, MapServer) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in GIS, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field with at least 7 years of experience in GIS development. Additionally, certifications in GIS (e.g., Esri Technical Certification), experience working with cloud GIS platforms, and familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies are highly desirable.
