Cloud Engineer Job Description

As a cloud engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and automating deployment of products in the cloud. This is an opportunity to develop and maintain scalable, secure, and efficient cloud-based systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud architectures that meet business needs.
  • Develop and maintain automated deployment processes for cloud-based applications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage code releases and ensure smooth operation of cloud-based systems.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting tools to ensure timely detection and resolution of issues.
  • Participate in strategic project-planning meetings to align cloud engineering efforts with business objectives.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends in cloud computing to inform engineering decisions.

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering with good fundamentals in computer science and scripting skills.
  • Expertise in at least one cloud platform (AWS or GCP).
  • Experience with containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Cloud-formation).
  • Knowledge of security concepts, including identity and access management, encryption, and compliance.
  • Experience with continuous integration and deployment using tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
